Rubber Binder 162 (also known as Kollerdur MO162) is an MDI-based polyurethane binder offering tough, flexible binding for rubber crumb safety surfaces, roof coatings, and composites. At 100% solids, it is completely solvent-free.
The NCO content of 7-10% provides a balanced cure rate, and the higher viscosity (6000-12000 mPa.s) gives good working properties for thicker applications. Can also be diluted with aliphatic solvents to produce flexible primers.
Standard formulation is 10% by weight mixed with rubber crumb or stone aggregate at 40mm thickness. With a specific gravity of 1.14, a Gardner colour of 4, and a flash point exceeding 150°C, Rubber Binder 162 is a reliable choice for a wide range of flexible binding applications. Shelf life is 6 months from manufacture.
